Instructional Design
A well-designed e-learning experience can take the best of what happens when a teacher and a student connect in person, leverage the best of technology, and open the doors of knowledge and opportunity to anyone with an internet connection.
I specialize in capturing expertise, in translating the charisma and enthusiasm of a great face-to-face trainer/teacher into the faceless online environment. My goal is always to work around the student using the most effective method for each clients need, from blended/flipped classroom approaches to asynchronous self-paced models. And from there allow student to study at their own pace while still providing strong boundaries and support to motivate and guide personal improvement. Establishing a true belief that you can grow beyond something you are now. The best learning strategies are ones that start by understanding the learner, managing their cognitive load, and offer the flexibility to work around unpredictable schedules while displaying a strong investment in their success. In my experience I've found that learning happens best when it is centered on the student’s engagement with it.
Video Production
Video Production
I am an seasoned director, camera operator, editor, motion graphics designer, and animator, challenging the stigma of educational videos. Making videos people want to watch, rather than need to watch, and promoting retention by producing memorable video content. In the realm of edutainment, it's important to understand that fine line of inspiring engagement, while solidifying concepts.

Web Design & Strategy
Web Design & Strategy
Online learning development is only limited by our understanding of the possibilities. The key is in leveraging the best of the web, to get the best out of people. The student experience begins with the student portal/LMS. Their dashboard is their classroom. But it also enable us to report back in detail on student performance and trends over time. With a conscious use of analytics, we can be free to understand performance, drive recommendations, and reach a broader audience. All the while honing your product and creating a more seamless and intuitive user experience.
I've designed and developed hundreds of hours of online learning content, from platforms to course work and beyond.
Audio Production
Audio Production
The importance of audio is often overlooked. Audio is the most important element in creating the tone for most multimedia projects. Whether it's in the subtly of the music bed, or in the quality and approach to voice over narration, you can always hear the difference.
I have played instruments all my life, I have been a DJ in my past, and currently edit/produce all branded audio content for The Princeton Review's instructional video library. Below are 2 songs from an experimental mixtape I put together a few years ago, modernizing the music from the 1952 movie musical Singin' in the Rain.
Print Design
Print Design
My first post-collegiate employment was in print design. It is where I have the most personal experience, and is the foundation for all my visual design work. Understanding semiotics, and the tendencies of the human eye, is an important tool in managing user attention and engagement.
